If you liked the Notebook then you should read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.

Now I must admit I only began to read this book because of the previews for the movie and I wanted to read the book before I watch the movie. I still have about a third of the book to finish but so far I'm enjoying it. The book is told in the perspective of both Clare (the wife) and Henry (the time traveler). At parts you'll laugh and at parts you'll be sad. It's a very good book and so far I have to admit that I can relate to the character of Clare in the book. Basically she knows what she wants and she always holds onto that hope of getting the things she wants whether it's Henry or a family. Even when things look hopeless she still hangs on and even when Henry is gone transported by time some place she waits. She spends her entire childhood waiting to grow older and meet him in the present. That's some dedication there. She's certain of her love for him and that he's the one for her even when other's don't think he's good for her, even when Henry himself isn't sure he's good for her. Clare always has faith and hope in the two of them, she always sees the good in Henry and knows that any time spent with him, together is worth it. It's why I admire Clare and it's why I relate to her.
